Many visitors to Manda Wilderness - either online or in person - ask what they can do to support the projects they see and hear about. There is no doubt that all the projects benefit from generous support, so here are some suggestions of how you might be able to help.
The first - simply visit Manda Wilderness! Every time a guest stays one night at Nkwichi, US$ 5 goes into the fund to support the projects they see around them. As Nkwichi grows and more people visit, the fund has more money available to support our projects immediatley, up and runing on the ground. And if you get to one of the projects while you're there, and take a film or photos, let us know and you could see your work displayed on the web.
Next, anyone who has been to Manda or heard about our work there can contribute by filling in a simple form and deciding how much to send. No amount is too small (or for that matter, too large!) considering that many people in Mozambique live on less than one dollar a day. If you indicate where you'd like your money to go, we'll make sure it gets to its destination – the village communities of Manda Wilderness. And if you are a UK taxpayer and complete the second form on GiftAid, you would see some of your taxes bolster your donation at no extra cost.
Are you a member of a group or organisation that could support a project? Then you might consider collecting for a specific project at Manda. We've had donations from church groups and schools, to support primary education, and repair roads and bridges damaged in the rains. One family gathered several thousand pounds to support the maternity clinic in nearby Cobue. A UK company decided to spend money previously spent on corporate greetings cards to supply desks and chairs for several schools in the area - read about the desks and chairs project here.
If you work with an international aid organisation, you might consider one of our projects for institutional support. The plan to create a huge community conservation area in the Manda Wilderness is at a point where real work on the ground is due to start – and it all costs money. Ford Foundation has funded much of the preparatory work, but there are plenty of opportunities for others to get involved.

Lastly, give us ideas on how you or others might be able to help, and which ways you think would bring most benefit to communities that are always very grateful for any support.
